Electronic Field Vector Mapping in Wakefield, UK

EuroLDS attended site to carry out an Electronic Leak Detection service for our client to ascertain the condition of the PVC single-ply waterproofing system installed several years previously. A full visual inspection was again carried out to all terminations and flashings to upstand details at the request of our client.

Our surveyors arrived on site and were met by the building owner and discussed the roof area history and historical problems of water ingress into the building.

EuroLDS surveyors then handed over the RAMS to the client as a matter of our company policy. Once all the paperwork was completed our team were escorted to the roof area to carry out the Electronic Leak Detection test.

Before our arrival, the building owner had all debris and rubbish removed from the testing areas, all areas were in a suitable condition for testing and the test could begin. Several leaks and points of water ingress into the single-ply waterproofing system were detected and logged by marking all defects with a wax marker crayon; all defects were then photographed. No roof plan was available so a roof plan was drawn out on-site and all defects were marked on the roof plan so all repairs could be found by the repair team. All defect information was then sent electronically to EuroLDS head office and a Comprehensive Report was formulated with the full information of all defects to the roof area waterproofing system.
